Meet Fiston Tuyisenge, an Aspiring Changemaker with a Data-driven Outlook

Finance enthusiast Fiston Tuyisenge is passionate about using data and financial analysis to contribute to the world's development.

Burundi-born finance enthusiast Fiston Tuyisenge is pursuing his mission in International Business and Trade at the African Leadership University in Kigali. He is passionate about using data and financial analysis to contribute to the world’s development. After completing our Financial Analyst programme accredited by the reputable Corporate Finance Institute, Fiston couldn’t get enough! He is further developing his skills in his area of interest through our Data Analyst and Business Intelligence programme. He wants to help businesses make well-informed decisions that will better their bottom line and improve lives in the communities they work in.

What is one ‘Hard Thing’ you’re working on right now?

I’m sacrificing a lot of pleasures right now to build a professional career. I’m confident it will pay off in the future.

What is your proudest achievement?

I’m most proud that I completed the Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst certification programme and successfully joined The ROOM Fellowship. Now I am exposed to a wonderful community of peers and lifelong growth opportunities.

What is one lesson failure has taught you?

Resilience is the key to success.

How do you aim to make a difference through your work and add value to the world?

I want to contribute to Africa’s development by informing data-driven decisions. In 5 years, I hope to give back to my community by enabling investment companies to enhance their business planning.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

To “do hard things” and have a growth mindset.
