The Pathway, hosted by Fred Swaniker (one of Time Magazine’s 2019 ‘100 Most Influential people’), welcomes outstanding global leaders to share the pathways of their success with the next generation of innovators, disruptors, entrepreneurs and leaders from around the world.

The Pathway aims to demystify the road to success by uncovering the milestones, failures, relationships, and untold serendipity that has enabled the trajectory of the world’s greatest leaders.

This year we kickstart The Pathway with yet another amazing guest. Fred will be in conversation with Swiss billionaire, André Hoffmann. André is the Vice Chairman of Roche Holding, a highly innovative pharmaceutical company established by his great-grandfather in 1896.

World-renowned for his commitment to sustainable philanthropy and environmentalism, André firmly believes in business as a force for good. He is a passionate advocate for the corporate pursuit of societal purpose, long-term thinking, and sustainability. Among other things, he was instrumental in establishing the Hoffmann Global Institute in Business and Society (HGIBS) at his alma mater, INSEAD, in Fontainebleau, France, and chairs its Advisory Board.

As Fred’s first guest for 2021, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss!

MESSAGE FROM

Our Founder

I believe that those of us who are privileged enough to be educated, healthy, and part of powerful networks should not be doing easy things. The only way to justify our privilege is to do the hard things that society demands of us — to solve tough problems and create opportunities for others. I launched The Room to bring the most ambitious ‘doers’ together to do these hard things that will change the world. I welcome you to be a part of our story and join this global community as we make history together.
